Notes From The Roadside Book 2

In Six In The Mourning Book 2 we get to see that Alek isn’t the only one affected by the paranormal since Dawn’s death.

The Silent’s attack on Ben and Christine reveal that our friends aren’t completely vulnerable.  Christine’s crossfit style training isn’t the only thing giving her an edge to survive her attackers as we find out her anger boosts her strength.  Good thing for her Ben is really good at making her angry.  Not so good for Ben as like most situations with these two they quickly turn on each other.  But what is beneath the Silent’s broken mask that can actually stop their bickering and terrify them?

Alek’s break from the road isn’t much of a rest as his afflicted mind has manifested a traveling companion in the form of his dead sister.  Memories stitched together as a warning or prophecy.  We also get to see that the darkness consuming him isn’t only his own pain, but that of those he’s come in contact with as well.  Absorbed along with those emotions are the haunting ghosts of the situations.   How much more suffering can Alek take on before he completely snaps?

We catch up with the other three gassing up and picking up supplies for the midway stop between home and the cabin.   Besides Nick’s ability to embarrass  Lynn, Darren, or anyone within his proximity with his patented sense of humor, it seems as though he’s now somehow creating little goblin like creatures.  What exactly are they and will he use this for good, evil, or just pure obnoxiousness?  Click “next” and keep reading to find out more in Six In The Mourning Book 3.
